The durrty truth about cheating

Disclaimer: I don't own this article. It's from Seventeen Philippines Mag's May 2008 issue. LOL. I thought some peepz would be interested in reading this.

First of all, what is cheating?

20% say regularly talking, texting, or IMing with someone other than your BF / GF.

25% say flirting with someone other than your BF / GF.

66% say hanging out with someone other than your BF / GF (and then lying about it).

90% say kissing someone other than your BF / GF.

99% say intercourse with someone other than your BF / GF.

Why do people cheat?

GUYS:

Peer Pressure: His single friends want him to be one of the guys - so in order to get their approval, he has to show them that he's a player.

Fear of Confrontation:He wants to break up with his girl but doesn't want the drama - so he cheats and hopes she'll find out. (It seems easier than talking over!)

The Thrill: It makes him feel good to be able to get another girl to like him (even if someone already does!) - and he isn't too afraid of getting caught.

GIRLS:

Craving Closeness: She doesn't feel like her boyfriend is opening up to her lately, so she hooks up with someone to get the intimacy she needs.

Revenge: She's angry at her boyfriend, so she hooks up with another guy to get back at him and prove that she could have any guy she wants.

Attention: She's secretly worried that guys don't find her attractive, so hooking up (temporarily) makes her feel better about herself.

How to survive the drama of cheating:

Step 1: Have a reality check.

Realize that it's not you, it's him. He didn't hook up with someone because she's prettier or has something you don't - he did it because he lacks emotional maturity. He can't handle the intensity of being in a relationship.

Step 2: Wallow in it.

Hibernate. Cry. Eat ice cream. It's okay to feel sad because, after a while, you'll want to feel happy again and forget about him.

Step 3: Get mad.

Let your rage out in an e-mail, then delete it! Unleashing the anger helps you to move on.

Step 4: Go out!

Hit the mall, the movies - just get your mind off him. Your self-worth doesn't center around your relationship. So it's time to show the world a new, stronger you!

TWILIGHT || When you can live forever, what do you live for?

Let's face it. The book is way better than the movie. But then, no matter how bad the movie is compared with the book, I'm pretty sure that the movie will be a sure hit. I've heard from a couple of my friends here in Guam that they've seen the movie not just once... And yea, some of then said they saw it not just twice... Heck. One of them said she watched the movie five times!

Rob Pattison sure did a good job using his charms in the movie. Gawd. He is just such a hottie. With his bad boy looks, damn. He looks uber smexy. Gawd. Gawd. Gawd. It would be nice to wake up each and every morning seeing him beside you in bed. LOL!

The movie focused more on the kilig parts. And though it didn't follow the book much, the director still made a wonderful job on this.

I mean, Bella's father was super out of character if you'll read the book. And yea, some of the scenes (or should I say the supposed-to-be-climax of the story) was rushed. It would be really nice to see detailed scenes on the parts where Bella was tricked by James, right?

But no matter what, I still enjoyed the squealing inside the movie house because of *ahem* Rob Pattison's hawtness. LOL. I just couldn't get over it so please just bear with me. ;)

What makes men cheat (according to Dating 101 of Yahoo)

After signing out from my yahoo mail, I was brought to the yahoo website. And viola! In the middle of the screen (you know, where yahoo posts its featured articles), the words 'What Makes Men Cheat' flashed before me in bold letters. Yes, as though it was mocking me, the words were in BOLD letters!

Out of sheer curiosity, I clicked on the title of the article and yea, it shed some light on my never ending questions about why a lot of the male population just couldn't be contented with their partner.

Anyway, some of the reasons why men cheat (according to yahoo) are:

48% of men rated emotional dissatisfaction as the primary reason they cheated.
66% of cheating men report feeling guilt during the affair.
77% of cheating men have a good friend who cheated.
40% of cheating men met the other woman at work.
Only 12% of cheating men said their mistress was more physically attractive than their wife.
Only 6% of cheating men had physical intimacy with a woman after meeting her that same day or night.

For more information on this article, click here.

Today is the ninth of October.. Seven months na sana kami ngayon..

Ewan ko ba kung bakit nagkakaganito na naman ako. I promised not to think about it anymore.. But somehow, I just… couldn’t get it out of my head.

I promised not to write about it.. And I also told myself before that I will never cry because of that relationship again..

Yes, I always tell myself.. “This is definitely going to be the last tears that I’d cry for him..”

And then I would find myself the next day crying about it again.

That’s how it is. Or maybe, that’s how weak I am.

I am weak. I am a coward.

I always hide behind my decietful laughs and smiles.. But deep inside, yes, I’m falling apart.

I pretend I’m okay when I’m not.

I tell the whole world I’m fine when inside I’m a total mess.

I tell them things don’t matter to me anymore when the truth is, they are the things I think about each and every day… each and every moment…

I’m hurting.. But I try to deceive the world that I’m absolutely fine.. Or maybe, I’m trying to decieve myself that I’m okay.. That nothing’s wrong.. That soon things will be alright.

I was fine before he walked into my life. Not that I’m putting all the blame on him. Somehow, I wanted to put him into my life.. I wanted him to become a part of it. Really. I wanted to. I tried to..

But then, I was too weak to even stand for him. I was too scared.. There was a lot to be scared of anyway.

There was so much at stake that I just couldn’t afford to lose.

I know past is past and I should get over it. BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET OVER IT. But then, it amazes me that somehow, I just don’t know how to leave everything behind me.

I just don’t know how to fully let go of everything.

I don’t want to find someone else and use that someone just to forget the things that hurt me now. Before, I thought that was the prefect way out. Because that was what people around me tell me. They all say that in order to forget someone, you have to find someone else to replace his position. But now, I proved myself wrong. Getting over someone takes more than finding someone else to replace him. It takes more than that. Really.

And I guess, that’s what I have to learn right now.

I know that everything that happens to me is part of the Lord’s plan. He has bigger plans for me than I have for myself. And I just couldn’t wait to find out what plans He has for me.

I just hope that this will be the last time I’ll write about it… And the last time I’ll cry about it…

Weight Loss Tips. *sigh* I hate getting fat! Maybe i should add these things to my list of resolutions.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Drinking eight glasses of water is almost like a must. And do not forget to drink water in the morning, the moment you wake up. In fact this is one of the most rapid weight loss tips that the dieticians suggest to the people.

Have organic foods for the breakfast like apples, bananas, plain yogurt, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, raw honey, wild smoked salmon, and so on.

Keeping a track on the watch, go for an hour walk. It need not be power walking, but definitely it should be non-stop walk and that’s for sure, in a couple of days only, you’ll start finding the difference in you.

Another tip regarding how to lose weight fast, easy and safe is that you should have your dinner about 4-5 hours before going off to sleep.

The two-point program that will ensure the ultimate success is: regular exercise and balanced diet.

Don’t depend upon fat burning diet supplements. They wont go a long way in helping you sustain your reduced kilos.

Soft drinks cannot benefit you in any way. They contain 150 empty calories, so if you substitute one bottle of soft drink with water each day, it will do wonders for you. It will enable you to lose about 16 lbs per year.

Sometimes boredom becomes a cause of overeating, so keep yourself busy.

If you want to seriously control your weight, then you have to stop yourself from getting lured into trying tempting foods.

As important is to pay attention to the fact that we eat the right food, equally vital is to keep a watch on the quantity. Without altering your diet plan, even if you’ll reduce 5-10% of your consumption, it will prove beneficial.

Eat slowly so that you can get a feeling that you have had enough food and your tummy is full. Eat slowly and fully relish the taste.

Have you ever felt that way? Today, you are totally in to him and then the next morning you wake up, you feel like there's a bottled up anger in you that you wanted to slap him really hard. Man, I think that's weird.

2. My weird french fries eating habit: Let's get this straight. I take in more ketchup than the fries. Normal people have it the other way around, right?

3. Danica calls this attitude the 'throwing-people attitude'. I don't literally throw people out. Heck. I'm not that strong to do that. The easiest way to explain this is that I throw people out of my life... Figuratively. One wrong move and you're done for. I don't need you. I don't want you. And that's it. Believe me, I never felt sorry for doing that. Oh well... Don't be scared... THIS RARELY HAPPENS.

4. I daydream a lot. Sometimes, I may look like I'm listening but actually, I'm already spacing out.

5. While asleep, I do so many movements. There are times when I wake up and realize that I have done a complete 180 degree turn... and on special occasions, I wake up on the floor. Hopefully, you know what I mean.

6. I have the so-called panic-attacks. My bestfriend [Glerren] finds it amusing. I don't know why. But I do panic even at times when I don't have to.

LOL. Finally. After so many failed attempts. I have finally completed my six weird habits. :)

I'm tagging Danica, Allison, Arjyll...

To be continued. I can't think of anyone to tag.

And they say that a promise not written is only a wish...

...So here! Instead of just writing my resolutions, I published it... [for everyone to see!!!].

MY CRAZY RESOLUTIONS:

1. By 10:00 in the evening, I'll make sire that I'm already in bed. This will help me with my eyebags. :)

2. I'm going to avoid eating junk foods. And sadly, that includes my all time favorite french fries.

3. I'm going to spend $20 per month for my cellphone load. That means, I only have $10 in two weeks. Aww... This is going to be hard!

4. I'll drink a bottle of green tea daily. This will also help me to lose some weight. XD

5. By 7:45 in the morning, I'll be up so that I'll still have a few minutes to stretch and do a bit of exercise. Man, I'm seriously gaining too much and not to mention, unwanted, weight.

6. No matter what happens, I'm not going to eat rice when it's past 6:00 PM.

7. I will only surf the net every morning [before going to work, that is].

8. I'll spend a little less time bathing.

9. I'm going to be more optimistic.

10. Lastly, I'm going to allot time to review my ASVAB book. I didn't buy that book for displaying purposes, anyway.

You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.
You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.
At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are full of energy. You are spirited and boisterous.
You are bold and daring. You are willing to do some pretty outrageous things.
Your high energy sometimes gets you in trouble. You can have a pretty bad temper at times.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

What's Your Name's Hidden Meaning?

Oh well... <lj:music>like you'll never see me again - alicia keys</lj:music>

Having a vagina could be considered both a blessing and a curse.

It could be a blessing in the sense that there are some who desire to have what you have between your thighs, women. I'm talking about the gays here, people! They desperately want a vagina, right?!

RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Oh man... If only I had a choice... If only I could exchange it with a man's... you know... I definitely would. One reason is that it's expensive to have a vagina. I mean, when you have the so-called period of the month, you have to buy sanitary napkins -which you won't get for free. Oh and don't you dare to forget that we, women, use feminine wash. Well, I've never heard of any masculine wash. So in the field of money-saving, men are considered winners for having their... you know.

Another reason why I would have preferred to have the men's thing is that it's painful when you have the penis counterpart. Again, let me talk about the curse that every woman in this world has every month. People, as what most -if not all- of you know, women bleed every month. And I believe that not all of you understand how painful it is when you have your menstruation. My, if only men would bleed every month, I guess they won't have the guts to hurt any girl's feelings by leaving them when they find a hotter chick.

Also, when you are blessed with a vagina, you have to get pregnant for nine months or so then suffer the pain of getting the baby out of your tummy. See? It's easier to become a man! It's waaaaay easier to become Adam's descendant than to become Eve's!

Oh my!!! Why don't men suffer like women do?! Why? Why?! WHY!!!
